Perhaps the best way to ensure our heritage is in good hands it to get children interested in it! Over the last few years, our engagement with schools has deepened.

Neev Academy

We have a continuing engagement with Neev Academy in Bangalore. After discussion with the teachers and coordinators, we provided lesson plans and resources for Standards I, II, IV and V. The resources covered Bangalore and its history, as well as Hampi. We also had several enjoyable heritage walks and a two-day outing to Hampi. After this 2-day trip, more than half the children said they wanted to become archaeologists or conservation architects when they grew up!

We also take children from other schools out on heritage walks, both from private schools – including Poorna School, Mallya Aditi International School, Ananya Trust etc. – as well as from government schools, such as the Model Primary Girls School in Devanahalli.
